MADHULITA MOHAPATRA
Founder & Artistic Director
Madhulita Mohapatra is an Odissi dancer, choreographer, and educator. Her work is rooted in a deep commitment to the classical tradition, reflected in her performances, teaching, choreography, and mentorship of the next generation of dancers.
Trained under Guru Shri Gangadhar Pradhan, Guru Smt. Aruna Mohanty, Guru Shri Pabitra Kumar Pradhan and Guru Shri Krushnachandra Sahoo, she has developed an artistic voice distinguished by expressive abhinaya, musical sensitivity and a nuanced understanding of the craft. Today, she is a Top-Grade Doordarshan and ICCR-Empaneled artist, and a key exponent of the art form.
Madhulita has performed extensively across the world, presenting Odissi at some of the India's leading festivals and on stages across the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia and the Middle East. As an educator, she has trained dancers of all ages, served as Guest Faculty at REVA University, and continues to nurture aspiring artists through Nrityantar.
Madhulita has also created original choreographic works that honour the classical grammar of Odissi while exploring timeless themes with sensitivity and imagination. Through her work as a performer, teacher and cultural ambassador, she remains dedicated to ensuring that this artistic legacy continues to inspire future generations.
